The US tour kicks off in two days, and season-ticket holders have a more immediate reason to check their inbox this morning.

Phil Parkinson named his squad for the American trip on Tuesday, with three fixtures lined up across ten days: Leeds United at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa on Saturday at 19:30, then Liverpool at Yankee Stadium in New York on Wednesday the 29th, also at 19:30, and finally Sunderland at Subaru Park in Philadelphia on Sunday the 2nd of August at noon. The squad list itself was posted as an image and the detail didn't come through cleanly, so we'll hold off on names until the club confirms things more clearly.

On the ticket front — and this is the one to act on today — Wrexham have been allocated 3,219 tickets for the opening EFL Championship fixture against Cardiff City. They went on sale to season-ticket holders this morning at 10am, so if you haven't looked yet, now's the time.

Yesterday the club marked a year since the passing of Joey Jones. The tribute was simple: “He left a legacy that is stronger than ever and remains in the hearts of us all.” There's not much to add to that.

Away from the men's team, Wrexham AFC Women are making history in the UEFA Women's Champions League — the club confirmed Wednesday that the achievement is ongoing, so there's more to come on that front.

The Cardiff City allocation closing and the Tampa kickoff on Saturday are the two threads worth watching as the week ends.
